Digital communication is the beating heart of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo

The Department of Humanities, Communication, and Tourism Sciences of the prestigious University of Lazio hosted a series of meetings exclusively dedicated to digital communication. Many guests and initiatives are promoted by the student community.

Digital communication at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo: a master class of new web strategies

At DISUCOM, in recent weeks, Dr. Tommaso Longobardi, responsible for digital communication with Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, illustrated the strategies and media campaigns he faced since working with the Fratelli d’Italia leader.

A seminar that excited the students and later turned into a debate.

Then it was the turn of Messaggero.it director Dr. Guglielmo Nappi and Via del Tritone’s social media strategist Dr. Valentina Panetta. A masterclass full of ideas about the transformation of journalism and ways to spread news across platforms. Nappi recounted how historical newspapers faced the web’s perfect storm, and initial fears later turned out to be opportunities thanks to 4.0 professionals.

At the third meeting, the teacher was Dr. Dario Adamo, Head of Communications of the 5 Star Movement and former President Giuseppe Conte. Adamo explained the brand identity strategies of both the political project and the Movement leader. Also on this occasion, many questions were asked and anecdotes shared became notes for the students.

Project

Between class and seminar, students in the Digital Cultures and Social Media course are also working on creating a podcast about the mysteries of Tuscia. A project supported by Radio Unitus will be presented at the end of the academic quarter. The head of the department, Professor Giovanni Fiorentino, supported the appointment in collaboration with the secretariat offices. Great expectations for the final meeting with Luca Abete as a guest. The post will be taken up by a Striscia la Notizia correspondent on a tour of Italian universities on Friday, December 1st in the evocative Aula Magna of the university at 4:00 p.m. to present to all students of the Viterbo campus the project “One photo of one day”, 13 years of daily self-portraits.

Abete will talk about how the classic photographic tool has become technological and how digital has influenced content. The magnificent Rector of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, Professor Stefano Ubertini, will also be present at the event. Languages, podcasts, news, images, and strategies will provide students enrolled in Communication, Technology, and Digital Culture (L20) and Cultural Heritage Sciences (L1) with the tools necessary to face educational cycles or future professional challenges.
