The new Lancia Ypsilon: a new hypothesis just a few weeks before its debut

0
Lancia Ypsilon

New Lancia Ypsilon will be the model that marks the rebirth of the brand. We can expect to see it mid-next year on the CMF-B platform, with electric and mild hybrid petrol versions. The car will be built in Spain in Figueruelas and will be the first of three cars with which Lancia will try to return to the premium segment of the car market in the next ten years.

The new Lancia Ypsilon: another hypothesis about the design of the future model, which is expected to premiere in February 2024

About the new one Lancia Ypsilon, in recent days the first spy photos of a camouflaged prototype appeared on the web, fueling the imagination of enthusiasts and digital creators who tried to imagine what the design of this long-awaited model could be. The latest hypothesis comes directly from France, where Car-Motorcycle The website has created this rendering that we present to you, showing what the exterior style of the next-generation Ypsilon could be, bringing the brand back to Europe after a long absence.

New in this render Lancia Ypsilon it has round taillights that make it look like a recent one Alfa Romeo Mito. The front side, on the other hand, takes its inspiration from the Launches Pu+Ra HPE concept with a very thin light in the shape of the letter “Y”. The overall design of the car is heavily inspired by it Opel Corsa.

Lancia Ypsilon Cassina

Inside, there will be several significant novelties. In particular, the gearshift will be located in the center of the central tunnel in the form of a small lever that takes up little space. Instead of a center console, there could be a “table” of sorts. On it, there will be physical buttons that can be used to control some of the car’s functions, such as blinkers, stop-start, and some air conditioning controls. The multimedia system will be touchscreen, with a large screen in the middle. The dashboard in front of the steering wheel will be completely digital. In a little while, we will finally learn the truth and learn what the true form of the news is Lancia Ypsilon will be.

Stellantis announces mass layoffs and blames California

0
Stellantis

Stellantis has announced its intention to reduce its workforce, which could lead to thousands of layoffs in Jeep factories in Detroit and Toledo, Ohio. The company credits this decision to California emissions legislation that it claims puts it at a disadvantage compared to its competitors.

Stellantis announced that 2,455 employees at the Detroit plant and another 1,225 employees from the Toledo plant could potentially lose their jobs.

Stellantis stated that 2,455 employees in the company Detroit race where the Jeep Grand Cherokee is produced and another 1,225 at the Toledo plant where the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiators are produced, could potentially lose their jobs, states Detroit News. Due to declining sales of the Jeep brand, Stellantis decided to change his work schedule, switching from an alternative shift system to a traditional two-shift system in Toledo and eliminating one of three shifts in Detroit, which currently employs 4,600 people. This reduction in the number of employees will take effect as early as February 5.

Stellantis, along with other automakers, has resisted President Biden’s initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and promote electric vehicles, arguing that strict regulations could lead to billions of dollars in fines for the company.

Stellantis

According to Reuters, Stellantis has restricted deliveries of both ICE (internal combustion engine) and electric vehicles to dealers in 14 states that adhere to stricter California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions standards. This action is in response to the fact that in these 14 states, according to California rules, manufacturers are required to sell a certain percentage of zero-emission and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which requires Stellantis to pay attention to these regions.

Stellantis faces challenges because in 2020 Ford, Honda, Volkswagen, and BMW entered into a separate agreement with California to comply with a different set of rules, where compliance is calculated based on domestic sales, not just within CARB states. Automobile concern headed by Carlos Tavares claims that this arrangement distorts the competitive landscape and puts his company at a disadvantage because these numbers are easier to achieve.

Buying an electric car is easier if you switch from a hybrid or plug-in

Buying an electric car is easier if you switch from a hybrid or plug-in

The purchase of an electric car in Europe and the USA is closely linked to the selling price and access to government environmental incentives (see how they will be organized in Italy in 2024). It is no coincidence that the US government has demanded that electric cars be totally “made in the USA”, even though capital could then be diverted elsewhere, for example to China. JD Power’s recent Electric Vehicle Accounting (EVC) study reveals a different approach in Japan Where 50% of buyers are considering electric cars for their next purchase, while 46% will only purchase an ICE vehicle.

ONLY NEW ELECTRIC AND HYBRID VEHICLES IN JAPAN BY 2035

The Japanese electric vehicle consideration study provides an analysis of electric vehicle buyer preferences. The 2023 Japanese edition is based on answers from 6000 consumers representative of a wide age spectrum, from 18 to 74 years whose interest is in the acquisition of a new vehicle during the next year.

“The study reveals that buyers who own electrified vehicles tend to consider more high-tech vehicles for their next purchase, suggesting that national policies aimed at achieving 100% electrified vehicles in the sale of new cars until 2035 It’s not out of the realm of possibility.” he declared Maiko Harasenior manager of JD Power’s research division.

BUYING AN ELECTRIC CAR IN JAPAN: JD POWER SURVEY

The 77% already own electric cars Consider purchasing an all-electric model for your next vehicle. The trend is also evident in plug-in hybrid owners (PHEV), with 72% affected, while for internal combustion vehicles (ICE) this percentage drops to 47%. This suggests that owners of more advanced vehicles are more likely to switch to all-electric models.

56% of buyers in urban areas, especially in Kanto and the 23 boroughs of Tokyo, are considering purchasing electric vehicles. Preferences are increasing with higher income showing that wealthy urban dwellers are more likely to choose electric vehicles.

AUTONOMY AND THE PILLARS: A BARRIER TO OVERCOME IN JAPAN

The average distance traveled per charge affects the evaluation of the purchase of electric vehicles also in Japan. Those who are considering the purchase of an electric car – according to a survey by JD Power – travel on average 880 km per month, compared to 973 km for those who prefer conventional ICE vehicles. The current autonomy satisfies residents of urban centers, while those in rural areas show less interest.

70% of buyers expect Reload mainly the vehicle outside the house, with increasing preference in younger groups. The gas stations are considered the main charging point by only 15% of buyers. This group of respondents is almost twice as large as those they target shopping centers (8%) and other car dealers (7%). However, the number of service stations has decreased and oil companies are drawing up plans to convert service stations specifically for electric cars, as is happening in the UK.

New Fiat Panda: here are the first spy photos

New Fiat Panda spy photo

Coming Fiat Panda will soon become a reality. Its debut is scheduled for around the middle of next year, but we believe that the first definitive images of the model will arrive in the spring and generate considerable interest among enthusiasts.

The first spy photo of the new Fiat Panda: this is what the camouflaged prototype of the future generation of the model looks like

New spy photo of the Fiat Panda

We recently came across the initial spy photos of a camouflaged prototype of the new Fiat Panda on social networks. These images were shared by the user Walter Vayr of the Gabetz espionage unit. The photos reveal the model with the usual covers partially covering its body, making it difficult to get a clear view of its design. However, it appears to be one of the first models with a modified body e-C3. However, it is evident that this car, which is expected to debut in July 2024, is significantly different from the current model.

The new Fiat Panda turns into a crossover with a length of approximately 4 meters. The vehicle is expected to have rather angular shapes reminiscent of the Fiat Centoventi concept car that the Italian company first revealed in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show. This car will be built on the Smart car platform and will be among the first low-cost electric vehicles offered by Stellantis in our region. Reports suggest that it will have an electric version starting at around €23,000 and an even cheaper variant that may start at less than €20,000.

New spy photo of the Fiat Panda

In addition, the new Fiat Panda will introduce an electrified version that will serve as the base model in the range, with a price tag below 15,000 euros. We know that this car will favor simplicity and essential features, reminiscent of the spirit of the first generation from the 1980s. It will also draw inspiration from recent times Citroen e-C3, with which it shares several properties. Keep in mind that Fiat Panda which will be produced in Serbia, Morocco, and Brazil, will be part of a new line of cars distinct from the 500 series. Additionally, the new Fiat Multipladerived from 500 will debut in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

School, selection procedures for 30 thousand teaching posts

In a groundbreaking move towards educational transformation, the Pnrr initiative has ushered in two comprehensive calls for teachers, promising over 30,000 positions that span across the educational spectrum—from primary and kindergarten schools to lower and upper secondary institutions. This momentous development is not only a testament to the commitment to educational resilience but also an embodiment of the vision set forth by Minister Giuseppe Valditara. The minister’s words underscore a steadfast determination to fortify the role of teachers and introduce new skills to the underserved regions of the country.

Educational Landscape Reshaped: 30,000 Positions and Counting

The dawn of this educational renaissance comes in the form of two distinct calls for teachers, releasing a wave of opportunities that go beyond the conventional realms of education. Published on the Ministry of Education and Youth’s website, the announcements promise to cover 9,641 posts in primary and kindergarten schools and an additional 20,575 places in lower and upper secondary schools. The sheer magnitude of these opportunities reflects a strategic effort to address educational needs across diverse levels, fostering a holistic approach to teaching and learning.

However, the aspirations do not end there. The ministry eagerly awaits authorization for an additional 14,000 places, indicating a forward-looking approach that anticipates and responds to the growing demand for skilled educators. This foresightedness is aligned with Pnrr’s overarching objective: to not only meet the current educational needs but also to anticipate and prepare for the future, ensuring a sustainable and robust foundation for the generations to come.

Giuseppe Valditara’s Educational Manifesto

At the helm of this transformative journey is Giuseppe Valditara, the Minister of Education and Merit, whose vision resonates with the core principles of Pnrr. His assertion that “these new challenges and future recruitments confirm our firm intention… to strengthen the role of teachers” encapsulates the essence of the initiative. Pnrr is not merely about numerical expansion; it is about empowering educators, recognizing their pivotal roles, and strategically placing them where their influence is needed the most.

The commitment made at the European level through Pnrr is a pact to fortify the educational framework, acknowledging that teachers are not just conduits of knowledge but catalysts for change. Minister Valditara’s emphasis on extending support to the most disadvantaged areas of the country adds a compassionate dimension to this mission. It’s a pledge to bridge educational disparities, ensuring that quality education reaches every corner, regardless of geographical challenges.

Navigating the Educational Resilience Terrain: New Recruitment Methods

In tandem with the ambitious recruitment drive, Pnrr introduces innovative methods that promise to redefine the landscape of teacher selection. Aspiring candidates are presented with rules for the transitional period of Pnrr, which expands the criteria for eligibility. Alongside the qualification for the competitive class, candidates with a minimum of three school years of service within the education system in the previous five years are eligible for secondary school competitions. This inclusionary approach aims to recognize and reward experienced educators, ensuring that their wealth of knowledge contributes to the evolving educational paradigm.

Furthermore, candidates who have completed at least one school year in the specific competition class they are applying for also meet the criteria. Another qualifying criterion is the attainment of 24 CFU/CFA by October 31, 2022, offering recognition to candidates with academic achievements as a requirement from the previous system.

Innovative Competition Methods: A Holistic Assessment

The competition methods introduced under Pnrr mirror the evolving needs of education in the digital age. The selection process is multifaceted, comprising both written and oral tests. The written test, conducted in “computer” mode within 100 minutes, encompasses 50 multiple-choice questions. These questions, spanning pedagogical, psycho-pedagogical, and didactic-methodological fields, evaluate the candidate’s knowledge and skills comprehensively. Additionally, the test probes the candidate’s proficiency in the English language and digital skills, recognizing the importance of these competencies in the contemporary educational landscape.

The oral examination, a pivotal component of the selection process, delves deeper into the candidate’s subject knowledge, general teaching skills, planning ability, and utilization of technology and multimedia electronic devices. This holistic approach ensures that selected candidates not only possess theoretical knowledge but also demonstrate practical teaching acumen, aligning with the dynamic demands of modern education.

An innovative addition to the selection process is the simulated lesson, designed to be a litmus test for the candidates’ actual teaching abilities. This practical demonstration, conducted in front of a committee, adds a layer of authenticity to the evaluation process, ensuring that the chosen educators can translate their theoretical knowledge into effective teaching strategies.

Moreover, the exam’s regional focus ensures a nuanced evaluation that considers the specific educational landscape of each region. While the written test takes place in the region for which the candidate has applied, the oral hearing is conducted in the same region or, or the case of territorial groupings, in the region designated as responsible for conducting the procedure. This regional specificity acknowledges the unique educational needs and nuances present in different parts of the country.

Future Horizons: Pnrr’s Impact on Educational Legacy

As Pnrr unfolds its educational vision, these calls for teachers go beyond recruitment numbers; they signify a comprehensive approach to educational transformation. The ripple effects of this initiative extend beyond the immediate filling of teaching positions. They lay the groundwork for a resilient and adaptive education system that caters to the ever-evolving needs of learners.

The emphasis on strengthening teacher roles aligns with the understanding that educators are the backbone of any successful education system. By empowering them with new skills and placing them strategically, Pnrr aims to create a network of educators who can navigate the complexities of contemporary education with ease.

School, selection procedures for 30 thousand teaching posts

Moreover, the commitment to extending support to disadvantaged areas is a recognition of the need for equitable access to quality education. Pnrr acknowledges that education is not a one-size-fits-all solution and that tailored approaches are necessary to bridge gaps and uplift communities. This commitment to inclusivity and accessibility lays the foundation for a more just and equitable educational legacy.

In conclusion, the two calls for teachers under Pnrr represent more than a recruitment drive; they are a transformative force shaping the future of education in the country. Minister Giuseppe Valditara’s vision, coupled with innovative recruitment methods, ensures that the impact goes beyond numbers and creates a lasting imprint on the educational landscape. As aspiring educators prepare to embark on this transformative journey, the promise of a resilient, inclusive, and forward-thinking education system awaits, driven by the principles of Pnrr.

“3 years in one” high school, that’s it. Anti-graduation plan: attendance checks and enrollment just before graduation

0
"3 years in one" high school, that's it. Anti-graduation plan

The war continues diploma factories, bye “offer” 3 or 4 years in one at private schools: There will be only external chairpersons for exams and students will have to attend all sessions. Therefore, it will no longer be possible to renew more than two years of school together with one aptitude test. The Ministry of Education and Merit is preparing anti-diploma regulations against those private schools that issue diplomas in exchange for very expensive enrolments. “To fight this phenomenon – Minister Giuseppe Valditara explained – the Ministry has launched an extraordinary surveillance plan, while on the legislative front, we are working on measures to prevent the reproduction of distortions in the system.”

"3 years in one" high school, that's it. Anti-graduation plan

The extraordinary plan envisages more intensive controls by ministerial inspectors, who are already working to establish, especially in some areas of Campania, Lazio, and Sicily, whether the legal requirements for the recognition and maintenance of the status of a private school are met by the administrative and bureaucratic point of view, which also concerns of all employees. To strengthen investigative activities, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Financial Police is expected to be concluded. Inspection panels also verify the presence of students in the classroom: in the so-called diploma mills, it happens that there are very few students in the classroom during the year, and they then multiply during exams with additional attendance at classes.

"3 years in one" high school, that's it. Anti-graduation plan

In these aspects, the government’s draft law will soon come, which will establish the obligation to adopt an electronic register and a protocol to confirm the attendance of students and prevent the subsequent flow of enrollments. There is also a maximum limit of fifth classes, which must be in the number corresponding to the classes in each year of the course, and a minimum number of students to form classes.

"3 years in one" high school, that's it. Anti-graduation plan

The aptitude tests it will be possible to study for a maximum of two years in the same school year, not three or four with one exam, as is often advertised online. For the aptitude test, the chairman of the committee must always be outside the school. “These are fundamental and urgent interventions – emphasized Valditara – that will allow us to strengthen the role of the many private schools that function properly within the national education system.” The percentage of diploma holders among private schools is very low and early verification would benefit the entire private sector. According to the documentation of “Tuttoscuola”, which for years has condemned the practice of the easy diploma, there are less than a hundred private schools in which there was an abnormal increase in enrollment between the fourth and fifth years: last year of 6.5% of 1423 private secondary schools.

"3 years in one" high school, that's it. Anti-graduation plan

“Tuttoscuola” also highlights the areas where this increase in final-year students is most noticeable: the institutes are concentrated in all the provinces of Campania, in the provinces of Rome and Frosinone in Lazio and Palermo and Agrigento in Sicily. But the students who go to get their diploma in these institutes still come from all over Italy, in a kind of “diploma tourism” that avoids the obligation to complete three-quarters of the course. Meanwhile, the turnaround is remarkable considering that the price for the qualifying exams is between 1,500 and 3,000 euros, while the price for the high school diploma is between 2,500 and 4,500 euros with highs of over 8,000 euros.

Dodge Charger

Avoid has unveiled a new Christmas ad that gives us a glimpse into a new-generation Dodge charger. This preview gives us our first look at this iconic vehicle, albeit in animated form. The new generation charger evokes memories of the Daytona EV a concept that was introduced last year. Dodge continues to maintain its vintage-inspired design, featuring a sculpted front end, hood bulges, and rugged lines that sweep toward the rear of the car.

The American automaker revealed the first image of the next-generation Dodge Charger in a Christmas video

The picture suggests the new Dodge charger The coupe could be a large car, keeping the proportions of the concept. This suggests that there will be plenty of room for rear passengers, although we can’t yet confirm whether the final model in dealerships will be identical to the concept.

The new Dodge Charger

When compared with the Daytona concept, we note some significant differences. For example, the front headlights look more traditional and rounder, in contrast to the slim light bar in the hood of the electric concept. In addition, the presence of long front doors suggests the presence of hidden four doors, which suggests that we are dealing with a sedan.

The new Dodge charger also features other changes from the concept, including larger side mirrors, a less noticeable but still sporty front bumper, and an aggressively designed hood. However, we don’t yet have a look at the rear of the car, nor do we know if it will feature the classic Dodge badge or the recently reintroduced Fratzog logo.

The new Dodge Charger

An important change concerns the available engine options. Avoid announced that the new Charger will no longer offer a V8 engine, but will instead be equipped with Stellantis’ new Hurricane inline-six engine. This engine will have two power levels, with the base version producing 400 HP (Standard Output) and the higher output version producing 500 HP (High Output).

While these details are promising, fans of the performance versions of the Hellcat and SRT may wish for even more power. Fortunately, Stellantis has announced that it is working on a more powerful engine that could be destined for the flagship internal combustion models of the Charger and successors RAM TRX, known as RAM RHO. In addition, we must not forget the arrival of the new Chrysler 300 based on the Charger platform.

Design Elegance: A Ballet of Tradition and Modernity

In the intricate dance of design, the anticipated Alfa Romeo Brennero takes center stage, promising to be a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. The render, a creation by Carscoops, unfurls a visual symphony that captures the essence of Alfa Romeo’s design legacy. The square grille, adorned with the iconic Alfa Romeo logo on the hood, pays homage to the legendary 33 Road, harkening back to an era of automotive allure. The grille, though compact, stands as a testament to the brand’s distinctive identity, with a central number plate positioned below the air intakes, akin to the Giulia.

Moving beyond the grille, the LED headlights emerge as luminous protagonists, featuring light strips seamlessly integrated into the dark groups. This distinctive touch sets the Alfa Romeo Brennero apart, creating a visual allure that resonates with the brand’s signature aesthetics. The play of details, from the sculpted hood to the black pillars, may draw subtle parallels with the Nissan Juke, a vehicle sharing similar dimensions. Yet, the unmistakable Alfa Romeo elements, such as stylish square wheels, inject a sporty and quintessentially Italian character into the design canvas.

Venturing to the rear, the Alfa Romeo Brennero is poised to showcase a coupe-style rear window, embellished with a protruding wing and a secondary spoiler crowning two slender LED taillights. A design echo reminiscent of the Fiat 600 and Jeep Avenger, both borne from the same manufacturing womb in Tychy, Poland.

Stepping Inside: Stellantis Craftsmanship and Futuristic Flourish

The interiors of the Alfa Romeo Brennero are set to embrace Stellantis craftsmanship, featuring the signature digital display and opulent dark finishes. As a groundbreaking move for the brand, the Brennero will mark Alfa Romeo’s foray into the electric realm. The fully electric version, boasting a 156-horsepower engine and an impressive range of 400 kilometers, aims to propel the brand into a new era of sustainable mobility. A hybrid variant is also on the horizon, offering the choice of a mild hybrid unit akin to the Fiat 600 Hybrid and Jeep Avenger Hybrid. Alternatively, a high-performance version, mirroring the offerings in Peugeot and Opel twin models, is anticipated to deliver stellar performance.

Yet, the combustion engine variant of the Alfa Romeo Brennero carries a finite torch. By 2027, the brand charts a course exclusively toward the production of zero-emission vehicles. Rumors swirl around a future electric variant boasting 240 horsepower, adding another layer to the anticipated offerings.

Performance Dynamics: A Symphony of Sportiness

Beyond the powertrain, the Alfa Romeo Brennero sets itself apart with a sporty setup, featuring Alfa Romeo-specific suspension and steering. This strategic maneuver aims not only to distinguish the model within the Stellantis B-SUV range but also to underscore its inherently sporty character. The Brennero promises a driving experience that transcends the mundane, aligning with the spirited ethos ingrained in the Alfa Romeo legacy.

A Trio Unveiled: Alfa Romeo Brennero’s Place in the Lineup

The Alfa Romeo Brennero, positioned as the third SUV in the Alfa Romeo lineup, takes its place alongside stalwarts like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Tonal. However, industry pundits predict that it won’t merely find its place; it’s poised to become a best-selling model that will significantly bolster Alfa Romeo’s market share. The brand, under the Stellantis umbrella, aspires to ascend the ranks and establish itself as a premium marque.

As we await the official unveiling of the Alfa Romeo Brennero, the automotive world stands on the precipice of a new era – one defined by electric innovation, distinctive design, and the indomitable spirit of Alfa Romeo. The compact SUV landscape is about to welcome a new protagonist, and all eyes are fixed on the horizon, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Alfa Romeo Brennero.
