The ski season has now officially begun, but this year ski holidays are more expensive than ever for Italian women: there is a glimmer of hope in the sea of increases that have also hit ski holidays. Bardonecchiain fact, it was voted the best value for a money ski resort in Europe, according to a survey by Post Travel Money (reports the Financial Times).
Bardonecchia, the best ski resort
The small village of Bardonecchia, nestled in the mountains of Val di Susa, is one of the most famous ski resorts in Italy. Today it won another important recognition: it was able to assert itself against Bulgaria, which has long dominated the ranking of the best European ski resorts. a new report produced by Post Office Travel Money in partnership with Crystal Ski Holidays.
Our beautiful pearl of the Alps, so it wins the first place for the quality/price ratio: in addition to the incredibly rich offer for skiing lovers, we have to take into account the increase in costs compared to last year (there was +1.4%, almost the lowest in the entire ranking). It is possible for a classic ski week to average spending of 618 euros per person.
Other Italian locations appreciated
L’Italy generally stands out as a popular ski destination in the Alps in terms of savings: in fact, there are several locations awarded by the Post Office Travel Money report. In fourth place, for example, we find (for the first time in the ranking) Livigno. In the wonderful ski resort of Lombardy, a few steps from the border with Switzerland, you will spend an average of 713 euros per person for a ski holiday.
In fifth place is instead Sauze d’Oulx, again in Val di Susa: the average cost of a ski week is around 742 euros per person with an increase of 2.7%. Piedmont again takes eighth place with a famous ski resort Nurse. Here, the average is around 811 euros per person, and compared to last year there is a significant increase of 8.1%. Finally, it stands out in ninth position La Thuilea small town in the Aosta Valley near Courmayeur: with an increase of 2.9% today, a ski week costs an average of 824 euros per person.
Overall ranking
PUSH classification The Post Office Travel Report took into account 36 ski resorts spread across Europe and interviewed more than 2,000 people. It is mainly based on the costs that arise during the ski week (6 days, since one is used for the trip): there are the costs of the ski pass, equipment rental, and ski course for the less experienced as those for eating and drinking on the slopes – lunches, coffee, cans of some sparkling drinks, bottles of beer and glasses of wine included in the price.
