The New Lancia Ypsilon returned to the road. This time it’s a camouflaged prototype spotted at an undisclosed location in northern Italy Gabetz Spy Unit a few days ago, as seen in the photos shared on social networks by the user Walter Vayr. The photos confirm the design of this much-anticipated model, which will play a vital role in the line-up of the Italian automaker, which is part of Stellantis and ranks it among three premium brands side-by-side. Italian brand Stellantis, previously sketched in two images, will fully reveal the car in February 2024 with a limited edition produced in collaboration with Cassina. The photos show that this car will feature design elements of the Zr Runs Pu+RA HPE concept. It will also share components with its sisters Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsausing the CMP platform and the same line of engines.
The New Lancia Ypsilon, produced in Figueruelas, Spain, marks the return of the Italian brand to the European market with a presence in the main automotive markets. The new model is expected to arrive at dealerships late next spring. Notably, a high-performance version is planned for 2025 to revive the HF badge, likely with all-wheel drive and 240 horsepower.
