It is estimated that the small town of Zakopane, in southern Poland with a population of less than thirty thousand, hosts approximately two million tourists a year, mainly attracted by the ski resorts that make it the Polish winter capital, some museums on the traditions of the Tatras and Gubałówka, and a panoramic hill that is easily accessible by cable car. Karpacz it is right next to Sněžka, the highest peak of the Giant Mountains, less than thirty kilometers away from Szklarska PorÄ™ba. Eastern Europe dominates this ranking: the Slovenian city is in third place Bleedan “uncontaminated green pearl” in the Alps characterized by its famous lake born from melting glaciers.
Slovenian poet France Prešeren defined Lake Bled as an image of paradise. Today, Bled is also known as a popular spa town. And we reach the last place in the ranking, i.e Garmisch-Partenkirchen, near the highest mountain in all of Germany (Zugspitze, less than three thousand meters).
