Huawei FreeClip, the brand’s first true wireless open-ear headphones

Huawei introduced FreeClip headphones that offer an unprecedented listening experience, combining an innovative ear shape with clip-on design and technology Intelligent wear detection. Born from the Fashion Forward philosophy with which Huawei intends to lead the wearable industry, the FreeClip combines style and listening for those looking for a fashionable and versatile alternative for use in various scenarios – sports, fashion, leisure, mobile office – compared to traditional in-ear headphones.

As part of the research it carries out in the wearables sector, Huawei has captured the growing consumer interest in listening based on wireless in-ear technology that allows you to stay in tune with your surroundings. The newly introduced headphones respond to this need and offer a solution for those looking for a practical and efficient alternative for both fitness and the office, from those who practice outdoor sports to those who multitask and need to handle voice calls on the go or in the office. To create them, Huawei conducted a series of tests on real users and identified three main elements: Comfort Bean, Acoustic Ball, and C-Bridge.

At the center of the construction project is the C-bridge Design, a solution that combines the acoustic sphere and the Comfort Bean through a cutting-edge design that requires 3 years of work. The internal structure is made of a high-performance nickel-titanium alloy and guarantees optimal comfort for ears of different sizes and shapes. In addition, the C-bridge Design maintains its durability over time and in everyday use and has been subjected to more than 25,000 reliability tests. It integrates advanced technology that connects the hearing system, battery and earphone control system, making each earphone only 5.6g, lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day. Along with the ergonomic convex-concave structures of the Acoustic Ball and Comfort Bean, each feature works together to create a secure, ergonomic fit that stays secure in your ears all day long.

The Comfort Bean headset is based on a bean-shaped design that adapts perfectly to the curvature and different shapes of the ear for maximum comfort. The Acoustic Ball, on the other hand, is designed to follow the actual contours of the bottom of the ear to adhere to the skin without discomfort. The ergonomic design of the C-Bridge combines two elements and integrates an adaptive sensor that allows the closing mechanism to be adjusted to reduce pressure on the ear cartilage. Made with the most complex precision engineering process in the industry, with nine conductive wires inside, it ensures a secure and comfortable fit.

The FreeClips stay comfortably still in the ear cavity for a full day of listening and guarantee a battery life of up to 8 hours of music playback or 36 hours with the charging case, essential for those who need to use the headphones for longer periods. time, for an entire working day or twice the duration of a 4-hour marathon.

In addition, the innovative clip design does not block the ear canal, which guarantees maximum comfort and, above all, allows you to maintain contact with the surrounding environment and external noises, such as traffic, which makes them the most suitable audio equipment for sports and outdoor activities. activities.

Huawei FreeClips are water, dust, and splash resistant with an IP54 rating, making them versatile for use during physical activities, listening to music, or connecting to Bluetooth voice calls. In addition, the sound-canceling channel helps reduce wind noise, which is especially effective for those who practice outdoor sports such as road cycling.

One element that true wireless in-ear models have in common is the difference between the right and left earcups, which can cause an ineffective audio experience or discomfort due to a mismatch between the ear and the earcup. Huawei has thus decided to offer the first open headphones in the sector that do not distinguish between left and right ears. Smart Wear Detection technology allows devices to adapt to the wearer’s ear type, not the other way around, for a more pleasant, comfortable, and intuitive wearing experience.

Finally, a widespread problem among those who regularly use headphones of this type is the risk of unclear sound or sound leakage. However, the open listening technology of these devices goes even further, relying on two technologies: a 10.8mm high-sensitivity dual-magnet unit and a reverse sound wave system, which together improve sound clarity and prevent sound dispersion. The former guarantees a larger speaker capacity with clearer sound reproduction, while a reverse sound wave system integrated into the acoustic sphere allows the volume to be adjusted by subtly canceling the sound waves. This helps create a safer and more immersive listening experience that reduces the influence of distant sound waves and sound dispersion. Furthermore, the double rear vents on the back of the acoustic sphere indirectly compensate for stray sound waves and thus reduce the dispersion of the sound itself.

Huawei FreeClips are available in the official store in Black and Purple colors for 199.90 euros. Get a free Band 8 with your purchase until December 31st.
