After catching a glimpse new Lancia Ypsilon 2024 Between teaser images branched from the House of Commons and various observations, maybe it’s time to see her in the flesh with all the parts in place. On Instagram in fact, two stolen shots (origin unknown) of what is supposed to be the new Italian B-segment have been published: all the various details match the lines on the drawings published by the manufacturer and on the forklifts. However, to be sure that the new Ypsilon is her, we will have to wait a few more weeks: the debut of the little five-door is set for next February.
Before. As already seen on the model fished out of the river in Sochaux, the car in these stolen images also has headlights on two levels: the main headlights should be the ones at the bottom, while the upper part will be dedicated to the daytime running lights, which will create a very distinctive light signature made up of with two horizontal stripes and a smaller, vertical one in the middle.
Above the LED strip is a large black molding on which the Lancia inscription stands out. But a little lower down you can see what appear to be four holes: it is not clear at the moment if they will have a cover on the electric version as in this case and will be “open” to the thermal, but it could also be electrical sockets. additional air, which will be used on future HF with 240 HP. Two small side air intakes are also integrated into the bulky bumper, as well as a large opening in the lower part, inside which there is also space for one of the sensors used by Adas.
For. The rear also faithfully follows the lines already seen on the car in the images taken at Sochaux: the two round headlights have Ypsilon-shaped internal graphics and are visually connected by a plastic molding that forms a kind of small “shelf” behind the rear. window, but to talk about a hint of a third volume would be an overstatement. There are no logos on the back either, just the Lancia lettering, in this case not very visible because it’s black on a black background (or maybe because it’s covered with foil). In addition to the presence of a small spoiler above the rear window, you can also notice a glossy black insert integrated into the bumper at the bottom of the boot lid, with two small reflectors on the sides and a hole in the middle that allows the trunk lock to be released.

Inside. Previous spy photos also gave us a look inside the passenger compartment of the new Lancia Ypsilon, which, as some trailers suggested, will have a very special round central box combined with a large infotainment called SALA. through which it will be possible to control all the main functions of the car, from navigation to climate control, and all this also with natural voice commands. At its side, in front of the driver, will be a digital instrument panel, while the finishes and upholstery will be designed to resemble a living room at home.
Engines. The new Lancia Ypsilon will debut in electric guise in February, but will soon be available in a hybrid version. At the moment, the company has not provided official data, but the use of the Stla Small architecture leads us to believe that there will be room in the range for a 156 HP front-wheel-drive EV with a 54 kWh battery and a range of around 400 km. autonomy (like sisters Fiat 600e and Jeep Avenger on high wheels). However, it cannot be ruled out that Lancia could follow the offer of the Peugeot 208 (also closely related to the Italian) by offering a basic battery of 136 HP with 50 kWh accumulators. As for the hybrid versions, it appears the use of the 100 HP turbo petrol 1.2 with six-speed automatic transmission, which (among others) has already appeared in the French, as well as its 136 HP evolution.
